I. Notes (taken while Mrs. Albright was speaking)
Summary of the Key Points Addressed
Mrs. Albright addresses an ever growing and urgent matter in the field of technology, such threats to our personal privacy can have dramatic effects on our social well being. When one of the pillars, she speaks of, weakens, our entire infrastructure suffers, and the resulting turmoil can have serious consequences on our interpersonal relationships and how we communicate with one another. When too many opinions, of few, squew the general viewpoint of the consensus, this causes serious social disorder.
She addresses an important point, to maintain a steady ground on what our principle goals are, to lead toward peace. So long as those methods adhere to the general boundaries of what is considered socially acceptable than we are willing to be receptive of those experimental methods. One must be wary that when they introduce a new method or strategy of giving tools to young people to express themselves, that certain guidelines should be laid down, so as not to disrupt the purpose (fostering peace) NOT fostering tools for terrorists and anarchists and social rebels to rip apart everything we have spent so many years building. Like a intimate relationship, trust can be broken instantaneously, by infidelity and by cheating. It only takes one incident to break apart a relationship which has taken years to build and to nurture. Especially the fragile ones. That’s why working together is so important, and they loser our bonds are within our Country, then the our voice weakens, and who is going to listen to someone who no one is listening to. I study I go to school and work, I intern, and I may be sheltered and aloof and curious and too optimistic and fearless, but when I feel like something needs to be addressed, then its best said than not said at all, even if it comes out really unprofessionally and not as articulate at Mrs. Albright. Like a child in a state of emergency is how young people speak, its in their tone, impulsive, they’re go getters, dreamers, love to feel apart of, cheerleaders, like “new” things, like to feel like theyre in the in group, no one likes to feel left out. Politics is the best place for them to come together for a common purpose and share their ideas and beliefs with one another in a neutral setting and regulated setting, that’s been around a long time.
I. Notes (taken AFTER Mrs. Albright is speaking) (she is answering questions now, that correspondence is private between her and her audience)
Journal Entry (What I recall and what stood out to me)
Presence: She has a presence about her, that intimidates me, and commands respect. She is strong, but not hostile, and she is sharp, but not condescending. She is informative, but not overwhelming. She gets to the point, addresses it, and moves on to the next point. She values where we have been, and can visualize and see a path of where we can be and where we have the potential to be.
She is a woman of courage. Why? Because she is confident, and can speak in front of a crowd, and they’re all listening to her so intently, and its because she is prepared and educated and experienced and her opinions are valued. Why? Because she thinks for herself, and at the same time her opinions and her knowledge is relatable and it makes sense. Not only does it make sense, but it makes sense to more than just one group in society, it is presented is such a relatable fashion, that these are topics addressed that most likely have some kind of affect on us.
Addressing the consequence of “effect.” There are topics that affect us all, and some topic which are so singular to one specific group, and not of relevance to the majority, that they simply don’t get the attention required to come to a general consensus. Correct me if I am wrong, but sometimes I feel like, what is talked about most in mainstream are things that most people can agree upon or are of interest to most people, if most don’t care to address and share opinions on an issue that affects few with no voice to articulate it in a fashion to which the majority can objectively view and share their opinion, than one may fall through the cracks so to speak.
Sometimes I wonder, if this has already been discussed and I was on some spaceship on the moon. Probably. (Like the kung fu movie reference analogy I made prior –its exactly what this feels like, there the move and then the voice). Just by coincidence. (I do have mental health issues, I don’t like to talk about –I speak and forget what I write and I say the next minute. I can remember only as the thought passes and put o paper, that’s why I am writing so much, because if I don’t write it down than the thought is forever lost.
